Alerts for deviations

An out-of-range temperature, an overdue item, or a failed quality check triggers a notification right away, not at the end of the shift.

A reminder and an alert describe different events. A reminder says, “Don't forget to fill this in.” An alert says, “A deviation occurred; action is needed.” WeSetup keeps these streams separate so important events are not lost among routine notifications.

What triggers an alert

  • A refrigerator temperature stays outside its limit for at least 30 minutes.
  • An employee with acute respiratory symptoms is marked as not cleared for the shift.
  • A raw-material batch fails incoming inspection.
  • A dish fails its quality check.
  • Fryer oil exceeds 24% polar compounds.

Who receives it

Alerts can be routed by role and location. Temperature alerts go to the head chef and manager; an employee suspension goes to HR and the director; financially significant write-offs go to the owner. Each event type can have its own route.

CAPA created automatically

Each alert creates a CAPA record with an owner and due date. It stays on the open list until the CAPA is closed; it cannot simply disappear as “handled.”
